Surrounded by the beauty of the Smoky Mountains, Renee and Brian celebrated their wedding day at The Trillium — one of East Tennessee’s most breathtaking mountain wedding venues.
From the quiet moments leading up to their ceremony to celebrating with the people they love most, their day was filled with genuine emotion, beautiful scenery, and moments worth remembering.
We had the privilege of capturing their story on film.
Renee and Brian’s wedding day was a beautiful celebration surrounded by family, friends, and the incredible scenery of the Smoky Mountains.
Their ceremony brought an unforgettable moment when a rainstorm swept through The Trillium as they exchanged their vows. But shortly afterward, the skies cleared and a rainbow appeared over the mountains. We were able to take Renee and Brian outside and capture the two of them beneath it — creating one of those completely unplanned moments that made their wedding day uniquely theirs.
Throughout the day, our focus was on preserving moments just like these: the anticipation before the ceremony, the reactions of the people closest to them, the quiet moments together, and the energy of their celebration.
It’s those expected and unexpected moments together that allow their wedding film to feel like their story, rather than simply a recap of the day.

One of our favorite things about filming weddings at The Trillium is how naturally the Smoky Mountain landscape becomes part of the couple’s story. From wide establishing shots of the mountains to intimate moments between the couple, the incredible scenery remains present throughout the day.
The venue also offers plenty of space for both sides of the wedding party to enjoy the morning. The spacious bridal suite features individual changing rooms, generous counter space for hair and makeup, and beautiful views of the Smoky Mountains. The groomsmen have a large space of their own where they can get ready, relax, play games, and even catch a sporting event or some entertainment on TV before the ceremony.
As the light begins to change later in the day, the mountain setting creates some incredible opportunities for couple portraits and cinematic footage. And as the celebration gets underway, The Trillium’s outdoor patio and dance floor allow you and your guests to celebrate with the Smoky Mountains stretching out in the background — making the views part of the experience from the beginning of the day through the final dances of the evening.

If you’re getting married at The Trillium, we’d love to hear what you’re planning.
